    1. there are two types of currents one is conventional which moves from negative to positive and the other is an electric current which constitutes flow of electrons,so it moves from positive to negative,always opposite to the conventional current.

  2. because there is not only one electron in the conductor there is overall flow of charge in the conductor . Unless and until you will connect it with the negative to positive terminal there will not be flow of current . But if you connect it with positive to negative the current will flow
